FUCHS Group renamed to FUCHS AFRICA

In a strategic move to better represent its expansive presence across Sub-Saharan Africa, the FUCHS Group has announced the renaming of its regional entity. Effective from 1 April 2024, FUCHS SOUTHERN AFRICA will now be known as FUCHS AFRICA.

Speaking on the decision, Managing Director Paul Deppe emphasized the evolution of regional responsibilities within the FUCHS Group across the African continent. He clarified that while local operations will continue under the banner of FUCHS LUBRICANTS SOUTH AFRICA, the name change aims to transcend the perception of solely serving Southern Africa.

Deppe stated, "It is important to change the name of the company to move away from the perception that we just serve Southern Africa." He elaborated, noting that FUCHS AFRICA more accurately encapsulates the company's expansive footprint and commitment to business ownership and responsibility across the region.

Highlighting the significance of the change, Deppe underscored FUCHS AFRICA's role in fostering growth and development for the FUCHS business across all 37 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. The renaming aligns with the company's strategic vision and underscores its commitment to serving the broader African market.

The decision reflects FUCHS Group's dedication to adapting to dynamic regional landscapes and underscores its ambition to drive sustainable growth and engagement throughout the African continent.
